I sold all of my recently purchased gear and went back to the old Nikon D800. As a hobbyist, it fits my needs better and i was able to recoup some of the premium costs of owning Sony glass.
For a while, I was consumed by gear acquisition syndrome, a common theme in the photography world. But I was humbled when reflecting about what this hobby meant to me. The D800 outclasses some of the newer mirrorless cameras in my mind and I think I’ll stay here for a while.
